Our goal is to provide parents with detailed information about toys and plaything for kids, along with our recommendations of the products that stand out as the best of the best. We aren’t necessarily looking for the most expensive or feature-packed toys. Rather, we strive to help parents make the right decisions when it comes to helping their kid to develop mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally well-balanced childhood through toys and playthings.
Who We Want To Help
Life can get busy and hectic, and most parent don’t have the time to spend hours upon hours researching the best possible toys for their kid. That means they are left to a) rely on website reviews, which are often loaded with paid reviews which skew the results, b) rely on word of mouth, or c) choose based on a company’s advertising. These options make it difficult to choose the best toy for your specific kid.
Why You Should Listen To Us
Anybody can look up the features and specs on a particular toy. You might even be able to determine the quality of a toy, if you happen to know a thing or two about the features and metrics used to measure it. What is more challenging, and more time-consuming, is comparing dozens of different toys to find the best one. More often than not, parents decide to settle for a less-than-optimal but “good enough” choice.
That’s where we come in.
We have a team of toy enthusiasts who are so passionate about toys and how such playthings can mean to the overall development of a particular child. Our toy selection process helps in identifying the right and most appropriate toy for a particular age group and developmental maturity.
We typically spend up to 40 hours—and in some cases significantly longer—researching and writing a single review article. We look at a toy from top to bottom to find features, expert articles, consumer reviews, and our own firsthand testing and expertise to determine which product or products are the absolute best choice for parents.
Parents who are having difficulty choosing which toy to give their children will find our list of top and best toys to be particularly beneficial. At MyBestKids, we are very optimistic that our top and best lists will provide parents with a more focused source of information on what they can provide their kids. This makes shopping for the right toys a lot easier.
How We Determine Which Toy Is Best
Determining the “best” toy is not as straightforward as some might think. While some toy categories have concrete features that can be compared against one another, other toys aren’t so straightforward. In order to measure qualitative information, we draw on research and conversations with experts to narrow the field of toys.
How We Make Money
MyBestKids is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
The vast majority of products that we review can be found on Amazon. You’ll notice that we include Amazon links to many of the products we discuss in our articles. Anytime you click on one of those links and proceed to make a purchase, we receive a small percentage of the purchase price in the form of a commission directly from Amazon.
This means that while we would certainly like you to ultimately purchase something from Amazon, we have no bias towards which specific product you choose.
What To Do If We Haven’t Reviewed A Toy
We typically spend at least 40 hours researching and writing a single article—and sometimes much more! As a result, there are still hundreds of toys categories we still want to review, and over time we plan on getting to many of them. Of course, if there is a particular toy you would like us to review, be sure to let us know via our contact form and we will be sure to consider it.
